This Privacy Policy explains how Flip.Tips processes information when you visit the website, create an account or use the Flip.Tips service.
Flip.Tips is currently operated as an early-stage software project by Matteo Daniele.

Depending on how you use Flip.Tips, we may process information including:
Information may be processed to provide and secure the Flip.Tips service, authenticate users, manage access, operate requested features, respond to enquiries, maintain the service and understand how the product is being used.
Flip.Tips uses first-party statistical measurement to understand aggregate traffic and the performance of the website and application.
This may include information such as page views, browsing sessions, pages visited, referral or campaign information where available, application events and country-level traffic information.
In this statistical mode, Flip.Tips does not assign a persistent anonymous visitor identifier for recognising the same browser across separate browsing sessions. A session-scoped identifier may be used to measure activity within an individual browsing session.
Country-level traffic information may be derived server-side from request information. Flip.Tips stores the resulting country code for analytics purposes rather than storing the raw IP address as part of the analytics event.
If you choose Allow analytics, Flip.Tips may store a persistent anonymous identifier in your browser. This allows us to understand statistics such as new and returning visits across browsing sessions.
This optional identifier is used for first-party Flip.Tips analytics. Flip.Tips does not currently use it for cross-site advertising or third-party advertising profiles.
You can withdraw this choice at any time through Cookie settings. After withdrawal, Flip.Tips removes the persistent analytics identifier from the browser and subsequent analytics activity is processed in statistical mode without that persistent visitor identifier.
Flip.Tips may use browser storage or similar technologies where necessary to provide requested functionality, maintain authentication, preserve security-related information and remember relevant service or privacy preferences.
The legal basis applicable to a particular processing activity depends on its purpose. Depending on the circumstances, processing may be necessary to provide a service requested by you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as service security and operation, or be based on your consent where consent is required.
Optional returning-visitor analytics are activated only after you make the corresponding analytics choice.
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including service operation, security and applicable legal obligations.
Analytics information is retained according to the retention period configured for the service and may subsequently be deleted or retained only in aggregated or anonymised form where appropriate.
Flip.Tips may rely on technology and infrastructure providers for services such as application hosting, database hosting, deployment, email delivery and other technical operations.
Where such providers process personal data on behalf of Flip.Tips, they are used only as necessary to provide and operate the service and are subject to the applicable data-protection requirements.
Flip.Tips does not currently process live card payments through the MVP. Where pricing or subscription interfaces are displayed for demonstration purposes, they do not constitute a completed payment transaction unless expressly stated otherwise.
Subject to the conditions provided by applicable data-protection law, you may have rights including access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to certain processing.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Flip.Tips develops, including when new functionality, integrations or service providers are introduced. The latest version will be published on this page.
